Just came back from work and feel very relax because today and tomorrow are my off days. Need to catch up with my sleep during my off days. The down side of my off day is that i need to report in tomorrow for a meeting.

Nowadays, i seldom shoot photos due to my work. I didn't bring my "wife" to KL and i left my "wife" at Melaka.

I must squeeze in some time for my photography session if not my "wife" will be mad at me. At KL, there are some nice thing to take like the buildings, people and the environment.

Next trip back to Melaka, need to bring my "wife" to KL.

Yesterday, the Assistant Manager came to talk with me. Was kinda surprised but it was ok. We did had a short conversation and he ask me how's the work here and stuff. I am glad that i had the conversation with my AM because i am still new here and i barely know anyone here. But gradually, i am starting to get know people in the company.

1 month at KL

Well, been working at KL for a month already. Seem that everything is going ok. In this 1 month, i have learned a lot. Although it seem to be a lot but i still feel that there are still much more to learn.

Compare working life to studying life, totally 2 different things. Frankly speaking, i still miss my studying life at school. Meeting with friends, yam cha sessions, futsal, movie and many more. Like that day, went back to Melaka. I met up with my friends and i realized that student life is so carefree. We went to watch 2 movie in a day and go makan. But, i still find that working life is no that boring.

I am now working shifts. I find that working shift has pros and cons. For pro, i get to do things in the morning then go to work at afternoon. I am a morning person so i like to get up in the morning and start the day early. As for the con, my sleeping pattern is messed up like the night shift, i have to work at night and sleep in the morning. Well, that's life and we need to experience more when we are still young.

I have been dreaming for this day since i was a primary school kid. Fast forward to 2009, it is happening. It is so surreal. I have been studying for 16 years and this is the beginning of another chapter in life. Long journey ahead and full steam ahead!!

This is a first at Vincent's Spot. I blog at McD Pahlawan. The main reason why i blog at McD because i think is cool. Nowadays, people can go online almost anywhere. Technology is such a wonderful thing, we can get instant news and information just a click away.

Actually, the reason i did my blogging at McD because there is not electricity at my place. So, decided to bring my laptop for a joy ride since my laptop has been staying at home for so long.

Well, something happen yesterday. I have a missed call that i should not have missed it! It is an important call that i need to receive yesterday. But, i did called back today and i hope heard some good news from the outcome.

Anyway, i will be at Mc D for sometime coz the power failure will be at least a few hours. Expect another update later.

Currently, i am still looking for a job. My previous job that i had was a part time basis. After much taught, i decided not to renew my contract. I feel that i have much to learn before venturing into sales line. Although i no longer work for the company, i still have 2 cases in my hand. I am working more on a case to case basis right now. I am now starting to shoot more photos. Been shooting photos for the last 3 days. Besides that, i still have a lot of undeveloped photos that are taken during the Chinese New Year and other events. Have to dig through my hard disks and find those photos.

Better get back to my unfinished work.

CNY is around the corner

Well, is that moment of the year again. Chinese New Year is around the corner. This is a time where we have gathering with families and friends. This year is the same as previous CNY.

I didn't update my blog for quite some time. Been busy for the month of January, went to Sabah last week and really enjoy my time at Sabah. I will definitely visit Sabah again.

Besides that, i have been doing a lot of thinking about my future after MMU. Last year, i was not sure what to do after completing my degree. Now, after a month's of thinking and consulting, i finally made up my mind.

I am really looking forward to the new year.

Man Utd's experience goalkeeper signs new 1 year deal. I am happy that Edwin had signed a new deal with Man Utd. He is a very experience goalie and i do hope to see the best of Edwin in Man Utd colors. Foster and Kuszczak will learn a lot from Edwin.

Prison Break so far

Well, after the coke incident, i been quite busy with work and didn't have the time to blog. I haven't empty my canned coke since the incident. Will do it this weekend.

Anyway, i wanna talk about Prison Break. I have been following this series since 2005 and i never miss an episode since the 1st season. For those who never watch this series, i recommend that you should consider watching this English series. It is full of suspense and surprises. 3 years after season 1, Prison Break is now in its 4th season and its storyline has been constantly evolving.

In the latest episode, Scofield and the gang had manage to pull off major "Job". But, in the end, the very person who asked them to carry out the "Job" had other plans. The plot thicken and looking forward to the next episode.

I am sad that Trishanne who is T-Bag's hot assistant had died... T.T

Burst!

I am an avid Coke and Pepsi collector. I store my collection in my cupboard.

Today, something bad happen. One of my canned Pepsi bursted!

So, i have take out all of my canned Coke and Pepsi to avoid any more bursting happening in the cupboard. I did this before going to work today and luckily i manage to clean the mess.

This is the canned coke that bursted, it was a gift from my Uncle. He went to China and bought it for me

As you can see, the canned Pepsi burst from the bottom and it oozes out slowly from the can and the wood shelf absorbed the Pepsi and expanded. The can looks fine but the bottom part looks like rust.

So, my collection is lying on the floor and some in the cupboard. I can't put them back in the cupboard because i am afraid that the same thing will happen again. So, i decided to empty the liquid from the can this coming weekend.

An advise to all Coke and Pepsi wannabe collectors:-

Please empty the liquid inside the can before it burst.

Opening Ceremony of Eye On Malaysia

My colleagues and I were invited by Tourism Melaka to attend the opening ceremony of the Eye On Malaysia.

The Eye On Malaysia was at Titiwangsa then now it has shifted to its new home which is at the mouth of the Melaka river. Besides that, there will be more attraction to be build around the Eye On Malaysia.

Melaka Chief Minister and Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakob were at the opening ceremony.

Then after the opening ceremony, my colleagues and I got the chance to sit on the Eye On Malaysia. We were consider the 1st batch of people to ride on the Eye On Malaysia and the view was breath taking. We were very thrilled and excited.

Graduated!

Well, i unofficially graduated from MMU!! I finish my subjects and now awaits for Convocation next year.

This was such a big relief for me as i am working now and now i can fully concentrate on my work. Might take time off next year because i am overlooking one of my company's project. I am still looking forward to my January break next year.

Life after Uni

Well, my results will be out this coming Wednesday. Been waiting for this day for quite sometime because this is my last subject for my degree course. I failed one of my 5 subjects during my last trimester and i didn't get to work at KL and instead i started working at Melaka. It has been a great experience for me for the last 2 months. Working in sales line really helped me, i now see the society at a different perspective. Maybe i am still not cut out in this working life. I feel that there are more in life besides working.

Maybe i just need a vacation......Haven't had one in ages.

Liverpool ended Chelsea's 1709 days streak

Well, Liverpool had ended Chelsea's unbeaten run. It has been 1709 days when Chelsea was last beaten. What i want to say is Liverpool is a force to reckon with this season. Man Utd didn't start as well during the start of the season. A draw at Goodison Park left Man Utd 8 points behind league leader Liverpool. Man Utd still have a game in hand and the next opponent is high flying Hull City, 3rd place in the table.

Just 9 games in and Tottenham's Juande Ramos got the sack. Harry Redknapp took the helm at Tottenham. Tottenham got their first win at Stoke City and it is good news for Spurs which are at rock bottom of the EPL table.

Jose Mourinho aiming a return to the Premier League. He is a very talented young manager and he guided Chelsea to 2 EPL titles, 2 League Cups, 1 FA cup and 1 Community Shield. He had moved to Internazionale and got some bad response from the Italian press and he is not doing well as he was at Chelsea. If he would return to the EPL, i do hope that it will be Man Utd.

Sir Bobby says Shearer can save Magpies
Shearer can save the Magpies? Well, the Magpies started badly this season. After the sacking of King Kev, Joe Kinnear took charge of the Magpies. Kinnear was crazy during a interview session, swearing the 4 lettered word during the press conference. Mike Ashley management of the club has caused Newcastle into the present state. Bringing in Dennis Wise as Director of Football and he spiced things in Newcastle. Newcastle is currently 19 in the table and Sir Bobby reckons that Shearer is the solution. Shearer is a great footballer and i think that he would not take up the Newcastle's managerial position.

Charlton: Capello can be new Sir Alf Ramsey
Sir Alf Ramsey was the last England manager to won the World Cup for England. That was 1966 and England didn't win a major football tournament since then. Capello is a great manager. He managed Juventus, AC Milan and Real Madrid. His resume includes a few League titles and UEFA Champions League titles. I do agree with Sir Charlton on this, Capello can be the new Sir Alf Ramsey. England was horrible before his appointment. After 9 games under the belt of Capello, England won 7, drew 1 and lost 1. I admire Capello's managerial skills because the England football team was in a mess. The disciplinary level was low, the players can do whatever they like. Since Capello appointment, he instill discipline in the squad and changes. These changes are for the better and England have 4 win out of 4 games in their World Cup qualifying group. I believe Capello.

Scolari dampens expectations after Boro stroll
Chelsea's manager, Scolari is enjoying life in the EPL. Chelsea are sitting top of the EPL table and their latest result was a 5 nil hammering against Boro. Chelsea are missing a few key players and it didn't dampen their form. Scolari still think that his team is not favorite of wining the EPL title. Well, i think he is just playing safe.

I am back

Well, i am back. Been busy with work and exam lately. Just finish my exam today and feel relief that the exam is over. Tomorrow will be working as usual, can focus more on work from tomorrow onwards.

I have been fine for the last few weeks. Besides acting like a jerk towards Mr. N (he started it 1st!). But, we are cool with it now, here are some updates on me:-

1. Got a new Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS lens. This lens rocks!!

2. Had a haircut.

3. I am working now.

4. Finish my final exam.

I think nothing much to talk about, just the same old me but gained a few pounds...... T.T Sad sad sad. Need to do more exercise and keep fit and healthy.

What an open ceremony for the Beijing 2008 Olympics!

The lighting, fireworks and performances are out of this world! I like the opening act which is hundred of drum players play the drums and the drum emits light when the drummer plays the drum. They form patterns and wording. Spectacular.

Besides that, the finale was eye opening. The last touch barrier was suspended in mid air and he was circulated around the bird's nest stadium. As if he was walking in the air! Then, the touch was light up by the last touch barrier and fireworks fill the air. Breathtaking.

Gender bender

What a day at the office. Today was my 1st day at work, at my relative's place doing some paper work. So, i went to the office and i was introduced to a certain person named X. X looks alright at 1st glance and i assume that X was a male. X dressed like a normal guy and has a mustache. The mustache is much more thicker than mine. So, i assume that this person is a Mister.

As the hours passed by, my uncle came into the office and asked me

Uncle:" Eh, just now that new person how you call ar?"

I was puzzled and i replied

Me:" Call him Mr.X loh."

Uncle:" Wahh.... He is not mister leh, he MISS ler!"

I was like what the fish?!?! Mr. X is a Missy and not a mister. I was stoned for a few seconds.

Me:" He not mister ar? I sure i didn't look wrongly leh."

Uncle:" He is miss lar."

So, my uncle told me that Miss X is the daughter of my uncle's friend. It turned out that Miss X has some problem with the hormones at a young age and the testosterone hormone is much more than estrogen. So, she looks like a man and sounds like a man.

The Dark Knight, freaking awesome!!

Went to watch The Dark Knight today with Kit and it was freaking awesome. The storyline, the characters and the late Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was out of this world! It was better than Jack Nicholson's performance.

Compare these 2 jokers, Nicholson was the happy joker in the 1989 Batman. As for Ledger's, he was the terrifying joker who is a psychopath!! He is one twisted mind and heartless joker that fears no one. His character in the movie was so real as if he was the joker himself. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger passed away early this year of drug overdose.

Overall, the movie is good but the movie was long. 2 and a half hours and it was worth watching. It is an action packed movie with a lot of explosion and Ledger's farewell performances was a masterpiece. Best quote of the movie:-

Streamyx or Screamyx?

I am a loyal Streamyx user for 3 years. Been using the 1 MB line since 2005 and everything was ok. But lately, the connection is not up to the standard at all. MSN messenger can't sign in, slow download speed, Hotmail can't access, Microsoft websites can't access, Youtube loading time is long and Gmail takes like forever to load. My primary email is Gmail and it is kinda frustrating when i can't access my email.

So, decided to investigate the matter. Went to forums and check out whether am I the only one with this problem. It turned out that most of Streamyx users have the same problem. At least i am not alone. In fact, there is a rant threat about this at one of the forum. Looking through the comments left by users are really eye opening.

So, how to solve the problem? Upgrading the connection? I was thinking of doing so. 4.0MB line sounds sweet, can download anything in an instant. So, decided to email to TM to inquire the package and this is the reply:-

So, i would not be able to get the 4.0MB line after all because they are still "upgrading". That's why the connection is so slow this few days.........never taught of that.........Maybe that's the main problem that causing the connection to be slow......

Actually, the connection was better this few days. But to a certain time frame, the connection is very slow. In fact, i did called to TM and told them that my connection is slow and i wanted to make a report. So, the operator did make a report and a technician did come to my place. The technician was not a great help at all. They said they can't do anything of the slow speed. It was beyond their control and they told me that the connection in my area has a lot of complain of users. Great......

So, I decided to do a speed test at here are the results:-

The results are great, downloading speed at 800++ Kbps. Impressive.

OMG...... half a star only, downloading the same file size. Maybe the distance from my place to the server is far. By the way, look at the comment of my connection.

Speedtest

So, what does this mean? Which results are accurate? Speedometer? Testmy or Speedtest? Based on these resutls, the download speed are quite slow in certain parts in USA. Surfing websites from USA will be fast or slow depending on the location of the server. If you download some file that are from the asia region, the speed are quite fast except for China whereby the connection was interrupt by natural disasters. For your information, last week i can't even carry out the test at speedtest website at all. I manage to test it today and maybe i got a different IP address. The IP address i got was a 60.54.XX.XX, which i never seen before until today. Usually i get 60.51.XX.XX or 60.53.XX.XX. It might be a new IP range from Streamyx.

Hope that Streamyx can sort out the congestion in certain part of the area and upgrade it's main line. Sooner or later, there will be more users using the service and it will be even more congested soon....

I am back......

It is been a long since my last post. Been busy lately.

First off, didn't get to graduate this year for some "unforeseen circumstances". My last trimester in MMU and i did "badly" for one subject. Luckily it was not my final year project that went wrong. If my FYP didn't go as plan, i need to repeat for 2 trimesters. The subject was offer in this trimester and i was lucky again. Took 1 subject for this trimester. It is a first for me to take 1 subject in 1 trimester.

The reason that i stopped blogging was not that. It was because of my job. I nearly landed my first job a few weeks ago. I should have been working since 1st of July. I had 2 offers and both offers are quite nice. Unfortunately, i have to drop out of the job offer. I didn't blog for so long is because i didn't want to exposed my life publicly to the public. As we all know, we can search any person's information in the Internet. So, i wanted to be as "clean" as possible. I didn't want to stir up any misunderstanding of opinions that will lead to a lot of problem. Besides that, i would like to advise to those who are graduating soon, please go on a vacation with your University mates before working. Once you start work, it is hard to find time for vacation and you will not be seeing your friends that often anymore.

Talking about jobs, i been to a few interviews lately and it was a good exposure to me. Learn a lot from these interviews. Most important thing that i learned, be yourself. Believe me, just be yourself, be confident at yourself and everything will be alright. My last interview didn't go as plan, i wasn't "myself" and it was a very important lesson to me. Now, i am not that afraid or stress out on interviews.

So, going back to campus life. A mixed emotion for me. Felt sad that i can't graduate with my course mates. Their convocation is next month and i will be having mine next year. Felt happy in a sense that i do not have to work as compare to some of my friends who are working now. Maybe they will be ranting to be about working life. Well, at least i get to enjoy another trimester as a student. During this trimester, i only have to attend 2 hours of lecture and 1 hour of tutorial. Fun right? Definitely, I get so much free time for myself to do the things i like! Haha....

So much free time, what to do? So, i register myself at a local gym and i work out 4 days in a week. I like working out at the gym, get to free my mind and work out. Besides that, get to slim down. Haha...... Fat already, need to loss weight and look fit or else i can't wear my clothes.......

Besides that, i did take up a part time job and today was the first day of the job. First impression of the job, didn't like it at all. The job scope given was not the same as i thoughts. Having second thoughts now...... Besides that, the pay was quite "unattractive".

Well, i think that is more than enough.

Holidays are here. Gained a few pounds for the last few months and need to keep fit. Besides that, have to start taking more photos back in Malacca. Didn't bring my camera to KL, what a waste....

I had watched Narnia and Indiana Jones. The fight scenes in Naria is quite boring and Indiana Jones was nice. I managed to watch the previous Indiana Jones movies and it gave me a better understanding on the new movie as some elements from the old movies are in cooperated in the new one. Bought a novel, Ironman and will be reading my novels during the break.

2 interviews in 3 days

I am now officially in holiday mode. Finish with my interviews and both are very different company. Although the position i applying for is the same but the job scope is entirely different from 1 to the another. It was a new experience and really looking forward to other interviews.

Met up with Eric, Seet, Kelvin, Phoebe, CP, Rich and Von on Saturday and went to have dinner. Still waiting for Kelvin's Nikon pics....... Hahaha

Finish my fist interview. It was all over again, i was handed a question paper to answer. All computer networks related questions. I think i did ok and a have problem with some questions. Still in a celebration mood coz Man Utd are Champions of England and Europe. Too bad that they didn't parade at Old Trafford because of on going investigation on the riot on the last UEFA Cup finals at Manchester, Rangers vs Zenit. What a waste but there will be a parade at Manchester during Solskjaer's testimonial match at Old Trafford.

Well, will be heading off to my first interview tomorrow. It is kinda fast to go for interview now coz i just finish my finals and i wanted to relax and go do something fun before starting to work. But since some company want to have a interview with me, i might as well go for it and experience it.

Will be at KL for a couple of days with my brother who just enter University at KL.

We are the Champions of Europe!! Congrats to Man Utd for their win against Chelski.

What a joyous moment for all Man Utd supporters and the players. Cristiano Ronaldo first half header goal was canceled out by Lampard's goal and the match went to penalties after extra time. Ronaldo miss penalty was quite scary and it was all experience of Sir Alex and John Terry miss penalty was the turning point of the shoot out and van der Sar is the hero, saving Anelka's penalty.

Well, I finish my final paper and it was a relief that everything is over. Went dinner with my course mates and Karaoke with my friends. What a day.....

Will be away at KL for a few days and will be back next week.

To watch or not to watch?

I am really in a dilemma now. I will be sitting for 2 paper tomorrow and tomorrow early morning is the UEFA Champions league finals. My favorite team, Man Utd will be going head to head with Chelski at Moscow. Might skip this match in order to get some sleep for tomorrow's epic final!!

It's been a while since my last post. Was busy studying for the finals and i took time off to blog.

First off, my deepest condolence to the earthquake victims at Sichuan and cyclone victims at Myanmar. Well, mother earth is indeed getting sick from year to year and as children of earth, we need to take precaution in helping to improve the environment. Besides that, we all should watch a movie called "An Inconvenient truth" by former vice US president Al Gore.

Talking about earthquake, a few days ago, there was a minor earthquake at Malacca and I did felt the effect. I was studying and all of the sudden my chair was shaking. Luckily it was not a major one and i hope we can help to make a different to the environment in order to prevent natural disaster from happening.

Super Sunday!!

The English Premier League is coming to an end. Tomorrow will be the last match and Man Utd and Chelski are on 84 points with Man Utd leading the table with a better goal differences compare to Chelski. The reason why i used Chelski instead of Chelsea because Chelski has the Russian spelling and the owner of Chelsea is from Russia.

So, Man Utd have to win their last game at the JJB stadium against Wigan. Chelski on the other hand, need to win their match against Bolton with double figure.

As for the relegation race, poor derby county will be playing at the Coca Cola Championship next season. Fulham, Reading and Birmingham are in a dangerous position. I reckon that Reading and Birmingham are going to the Coca Cola Championship with Derby next season.

Besides football, i would to comment on the latest issue on the National Service (NS). The NS program had calmed another life of a girl and i feel that the government need to review the program. This matter should have taken seriously as no parent would want their children to come back unhealthy. This girl scored 7A in her SPM and her future is bright in her. Condolences to the victim's family and friends.

2 more days to finals, been preparing for it for the last few days. 5 subjects to prepare and it is still a long way to go.

6 more days to go. Studying Real Time System and it is a very boring subject with a lot of boring facts in it. Not sure the main purpose of studying this subject at all. We should at least studying something that is useful like how to set up a network, configuring routers or some other computer networking related stuff.

Chelski won 2 - 0 against Newcastle. So, the BPL title race will be down to the wire. Man Utd will be playing Wigan, away and Chelski have Bolton on Stamford Bridge. I believe in the Red Devils and Chelski, dream on!!!

Well, haven't update my blog for sometime now. Just wanna tell my readers that

I'm still alive and thank you for dropping by at my blog.

Last few days had been quite happening for me. Went to The Jetty and imitated Chester of Linkin Park. What a night. Then, the next day to Libra Cafe and we (7 of us) drank 1 bucket.....LOL.......

Have to stop drinking beer or else i will have a beer belly.

Besides that, 3 games left in the Barclays Premier League and Man Utd are 3 points ahead of Chelsea. Who would have taught that Chelsea will be 2nd in the BPL. Arsenal are sensation during the 1st half of the season. They had ran out of "steam" and kept dropping points. Man Utd sill have play Barcelona this coming Thursday for the UEFA Champions League. Exciting matches ahead of the BPL and I will get a Man Utd Jersey with Ronaldo's name on it if they win the BPL again.

Just finished finalizing my FYP and assignment. Will be submitting these soon and i will be having 2 presentations on Fridy. One fyp and another one is TNS. OMG.....

Been building some SD Gundam plastic models for the last few weeks and i will be posting the pictures after the final touch ups on the models.

Return of the SD Gundams!

Liu Bei Model

I completed my Liu Bei SD Gundam last year. So, last weekend, decided to start on Zhang Fei and Guan Yu. In fact, Zhang Fei had been a working progress for 3 months. Managed to finish 2 gundams in 3 days time. Here are the pictures:-

Euro 08 is around the corner. Switzerland and Austria will be hosting the game. It will start on the 7th of June. By that time, i have already graduate if everything does not screw up. Haha....

Sad to say that England is not in the competition, so i will be supporting the Dutch team.

I went to check the price of the sitting i was stuned.

Assuming that i will be going to Switzerland, the Dutch will play the group matches on Switzerland. The games will be played, total cost for the tickets is

595+550+425 = 1570 Euro

Then, if the Dutch qualify for the quarter finals, semis and finals will be

600(quarter finals)+650(semi finals)+1250(finals) = 2500 Euro.

So total cost for the tickets is

1570 + 2500 = 4070 Euro.

Convert that to Malaysian Ringgit is

4070 Euro = 20,423.81 Ringgit

20k for the tickets only, flight tickets, accommodation and MISC spending are not included. If i want to go for the next Euro games, i better go Europe and earn some Euros or Pounds.

Mid term break

Mid term break is here. Finally, got a week off.

FYP is still on going but the deadline is getting closer and i still can't sniff any packets!! Damn

Bought a new wireless adapter and it worked fine in my home but not in the campus. Need to find out the problem ASAP.

Mid term test will be pouring in one by one after the mid term break. Can't really enjoy the mid term break.

This trimester will be my last. Really looking forward to graduate and start a new chapter in my life, working. Some people told me that working life ain't fun but i feel that it is a new challenge that i'm willing to under go.

Man Utd beat Derby 1 - 0. Luckily Man Utd won because Arsenal drew with Boro.

Friday (7/3)
Went to Limbongan for Yum Cha session with Deep, Phee, Kel, Jasmine, Eric and Seet. After Limbongan, Seet decided to go to Libra cafe as the night was still young (it was around 12am). Deep and I said ok but i remembered "someone" said that he was tired and wanted to go to sleep. In the end, majority won and we were on our way to Libra for round 2. Ordered 2 buckets of beer and it was just only the beginning. Kel drank beer like drinking water, cups after cups and we were all in the mood.

After 2 buckets, i ordered 2 more buckets and we were drinking happily until 4 in the morning. Happy times....

Saturday (8/3)
Happy 72 B'day to Samy and it was International Womens day. It was a first for me as i can vote. Decided to walk to my election center as the place was at MGS and it was nearby my place. Here are some random pictures taken:-

Reached MGS, then i checked out which room i was going to be casting my vote. After that (surprisingly it took only a few minutes only), i was off to the designated room to cast my first vote. There were police personnels around the area, security looks tight. Then, i went into room 3 and handed over my IC. After the malay dude checked me on his list, i was given 2 piece of papers, one for DUN and Parliament. I went to the casting area. I then casted my votes (without checking twice, just cross on the papers) and submitted into the transparent voting boxes. As i walked out the room, it was memorial day, me performing my duty as a Malaysian. I had waited this day since i was a child, watching my parents going to vote and now it is me that vote.

That night, waited for the results.

From my opinion, the results were what i had already "expected".

UEFA Champions League Review

Four matches were played yesterday and it produced some surprising results. Fenerbahce is the second Turkish club to advance to the quarter finals and Milan were beaten by an English team for the first time in the San Siro. Man Utd and Barca had proved that they are the better team to advance to the quarter finals.

Teams that qualified to the quarter finals so far are Man Utd, Arsenal, Fenerbahce and Barcelona.

There will be another 4 matches play tomorrow.

Chelsea vs Olympiakos

FC Porto vs Schalke

Real Madrid vs AS Roma

Inter Milan vs Liverpool

Note that the Inter match will be played in a later date due to Liverpool playing an EPL match tomorrow.

Predictions:-

Chelsea drew nil nil with Olympiakos during the first tie. Olympiakos star player will be Antonios Nikopolidis. the veteran 36 year old goalkeeper. The 36 year old has proven that even at 36 year of age, he is one of the veteran keepers in Europe and it was him that prevented Chelsea from scoring. He will be a very important figure in the upcoming match. Chelsea's boss, Avram Grant will have a fully fit squad to choose from. With Lampard's ban being lifted by the English FA, he will be available in this game. Chelsea's last match was against West Ham and they hammered West Ham 4 - 0. A 10 men Chelsea proved that they are a force to reckon with. Chelsea to win in this match. A fully fit Chelsea squad will overshadow Olympiakos.

Porto vs Schalke. Schalke is the only German team left in this competition and Porto is also the only Portuguese team in this competition. The first tie was won Schalke and it was scored by none other by Kevin Kuranyi. The Brazillian born German player is one of the superstar of the Germany national team during the 2006 World Cup. He will play an integral part of Schalke's attacking department. As for Porto, their star player will be Portuguese winger, Ricardo Quaresma. The former Barcelona and Sporting player will have be the driving force for Porto in order to emulate the 2003/04 Porto side that won the UEFA Champions League. The 2003/04 Porto team was lead by the one and only Jose Mourinho. After being crowned Europe finest, Mourinho and some other high profile players like Deco (now at Barcelona) Carvalho, Fereira (both now at Chelsea), Maniche (now at Atlético Madrid, on loan at Inter Milan), and Benni McCarthy (now at Blackburn) have left FC Porto for other clubs. This is a hard match to predict, but i will fancy Porto to progress because of Schalke's poor run in the German Bundesliga.

Real Madrid will be without two of their Dutch players, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Arjen Robben. Both players had picked up injury but there is good news for Schuster's Madrid, Robinho is fit for this game. The 24 year old Brazilian was fit and did play Real's last match. After losing 2 - 1 against AS Roma on the first tie, Madrid need a win in the Santiago Bernabéu in order to secure a place in the quarter finals. AS Roma captain marvel Francesco Totti and danger man Mancini will be a threat to the Madrid team. AS Roma will fancy their chance to progress to the next stage but with Madrid's hunger for European success, this will be a stern test for Luciano Spalletti's team. The most important factor in this match will be depending on how well AS Roma can withstand Madrid's attack. I will be going for a win for Madrid but the match winner will be decided on penalties. AS Roma to stun Madrid in penalty shoot out.

Last but not less, Inter Milan vs Liverpool. Liverpool are 5 times European Champions. Rafa Benitez is a master mind when it comes to European match. Domestic wise, Liverpool had some hiccups in the EPL. Inter Milan is on the top of the Serie A table (followed by AS Roma). Inter had lost only one match in the Serie A this season, 6 points separating between Inter and Roma. Inter was knocked out at the first knockout round of this competition and Mancini will have to plan a come back plan in order to progress to the next round. The first tie saw Liverpool beat Inter 2 - 0 at Anfield. This time, Inter Milan can prove to neighbor AC Milan that they are the better team. With the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he will have to prove that he can help save Inter Milan by scoring against the Reds. As for the Reds, they will be relying on their midfield general Steven Gerrard and striker Fernando Torres. This 2 players will be a threat to Inter's defense. Liverpool will be putting 10 men in their penalty box and expect Inter to produce waves after waves of attack. Inter to progress if Rafa plays some weird formation. Rafa will need to play his card right in order to advance.

Here is my review:-
Sevilla 3 - 2 Fenerbahce

What a fairy tale night for Turkish side Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce won 3 - 2 against Spanish side Sevilla on home soil and they drew 3 - 3 with away from home. The aggregate score was 5 - 5, it was a penalty shoot out that ended Fenerbahce as winners. The Turks are definitely the "dark horse" of this competition.

Barcelona 1 - 0 Celtic

Barcelona didn't let their domestic league slum affect their game with Celtic. Here is a fact, Barcelona's only goal was scored by none other than their midfield maestro Xavi, a total of 19 passes was successfully made before slotting in the winning goal. Messi was rested the game before Celtic and Barca lost 4 - 2 against Atlético Madrid. Messi sure makes the differences in the Catalan side.

AC Milan 0 - 2 Arsenal

This must be the result of the day. Arsenal emerged victorious at the San Siro, the strong hold of the Milan team. It was a showdown between the vast experience of an aging Milan side versus a youthful Arsenal side. Arsenal scored the 2 goals quite late in the game. Fabregas and Adebayor scored the goals and it was the Adebayor's first Champions League goal. Well, the defending champions will not defend their title after all and this might be the last game for some Milan players like Maldini, Kaladze, Ambrosini, and Inzaghi. After this defeat, maybe Carlo Ancelotti might reshuffle his Milan team and bring more youth to the team. With the likes of Pato and Kaka', Milan are all set for the future.

Man Utd 1 - 0 Lyon

Man Utd were indeed the better side for this tie. Man Utd drew 1 all with Lyon on the 1st tie and all thanks to a Carloz Tevez last minute equalizer. This time around, Man Utd dominated the game. Man Utd were playing fluent football on the first half of the game, kept on pouring attack after attack and the French side were defending only. On the 41 minute, Man Utd had scored a goal all thanks to a Portuguese winger, Cristiano Ronaldo. It was his 30th goal in all competition and it was a great achievement by this young winger. But on the 2nd half, Lyon were a different team, the manager's team talk made the difference. Lyon were attacking and in the end, Man Utd emerged as the better team. Well done Man Utd!!!

Champions League week!

I know that i have not speed time on my blog, been busy with my packet sniffing duties and how i am figuring out on how to analyze the data that i captured.

Great result for Man Utd, a 3 nil victory away at Fulham. Good play by Ji-Sung Park (the pride of South East Asia!! playing for the Red Devils), Owen Hargreaves and Paul Scholes.

Champions League is back this week and Man Utd are at home against the almighty French League Champions Lyon. First tie, Man Utd grabbed a valuable away goal and drew with Lyon 1 all. All thanks to Tevez!!

This time around, Man Utd are at Old Trafford, the stronghold of the Red Devils and expect a full house crowded with Red Devil's supporter. I will be watching the match too, it will be live at 3.45am.

Enough of football, back to life. Life have been alright, assignments and mid term are pouring in as we speak. Final year project is on the way and as the days pass by, i feel that each day i spent in campus, it feels that time is passing very fast. In a few months time, i will bid farewell to MMU.

Blood test

Well, when to my 2nd blood test. The last time i had mt blood test was in secondary school.

I had a bad experience with sharp objects like needles. It is call Aichmophobia, the fear of needles or pointed objects. I did mention this on my blog before. Long story cut short, the clinic doctor inject with a big a** needle and his reason is

Doc:"You are a big person mah. So, big people like you need to use big injection needle lar."

Since that day, i developed aichmophobia. Every time when some one like Kit ask me to go for blood donation, i will reject straight away.

Even my dad say it is all my imagination running wild. Well, decided to face my fear today. Went to the pathlab in the morning. Filled in the forms and waited for a while. As the adrenaline kept on pumping, the nurse called my name. So, it was no point of turning back. Gathered all my courage and just went into the room.

It was a dude that will taking my blood. So, my imagination was running wild again and it reminded me of the last experience. Then, the guy took out a hypodermic needle. So, I did ask him

Me:"Pain onot ar?"

Dude:"No, no pain one lar."

Me:"Ic ic. I am kinda scared lah."

Dude:"No need scare lar."

That was the last sentence. Then, it was show time. A rubber strap was strapped to my right bicep and antiseptic was spread on my arm. Adrenaline kept on pumping, and the hypodermic needle pierce through my skin and the sensation was really unconformable. The time was passing very slow at that precise moment.

In the end, the experience was not as bad as i taught. After the ordeal, i was mentally exhausted and craving for breakfast. After that, went to have breakfast.

I finally overcome my phobia, aichmophobia.

11th day of 2008

So, 11 days had passed in the year in 2008. The biggest news happen in this 11 days is the infamous "tape" staring our former minster. Why do i bring up this matter? Well, I had lunch with my firends and they were bragging to me that how "good" he was in the bed for a 60 year old "Ah Pek". Besides that, a particular friend said that his "manhood" was above an average Joe's. They were quite impressed on this old timer and all of them had a glimpse of the home make video. They were also very very excited when talking about it. Not for me, why do i even bother to watch some 60 year old "banging" a 20 year old. it is sickening!

I feel that why do this people want to interfere this person's private life? Of course, he is a married man and he should be faithful to his wife. Oh right, we are now in the 21st century and it is consider a norm for people to have an affair with some hot chick . Maybe some will think that i am over reacting here, what the big deal of having an affair right? It is normal for a man to have an affair. Well, i will have to disagree with it. For me, you stick with the one you loved for the rest of your life. That's my opinion.

Enough of lesson of life. If you were in the video instead of the "Ah Pek". How do you feel? I bet that you will be embarrassed. Have you ever taught that your private life will be interfered? Hidden cameras are getting smaller and smaller, easier to obtain and install. You can get one from your local electronics store. Will you be bragging to others that you were featured in a home made video? I think you will try to hunt down who the perpetrator to the end of the world because the perpetrator had interfere your private life.

Well, i would like to say that please destroy the bloody video and not distribute the video. You might be the next "superstar", who knows?

The Cube, 400th post!!

It been a long since i last visit a pub in Malacca. So, decided to go to a new pub in Malacca call "The Cube".

So, Joe and I went there at around 9.30pm. It was too early and we decided to wait and monitor the situation.

The environment was ok and it was different from other pubs in Malacca.

We stayed there until 1am and we enjoyed very much. Yeong, Kit, Minnie and Melody joined us later. Great place!

Reached home at around 2.30am after supper, got to watch Man Utd FA Cup 3rd round match against Aston Villa. The goals came very late in the game, Ronaldo and Rooney were on the score sheet. Then, Dad and Andrew need a lift to Malim as they are on a trip to Har Bin, China. Didn't manage to send them because was too tired, that time was around 3.30am. Very drowsy. Woke up at 9am today because was too freakin' cold.

Well, it's my first post of the year and i would like to start with my new year's resolution:-
1. Shed a few Kilos
2. Drink less alcoholic drinks
3. Graduate from MMU

These are my resolutions of the year.

Finish my last paper and i feel that i will be sitting for the supplementary paper because the exam its tough. Should have spend more time on the later chapters.

Well, no point complaining because it is already over. The holidays are here, only 3 weeks. Not too bad, it is not long nor short, just enough time for me to enjoy. Dad and Andrew are going to China and Nicholas is at HK now, So, it's only Mum, Robin and me at home. Would like to go vacation on the holidays but I don't know where to go, stay at home and be the house driver for the next 3 weeks. Haha.....

I would definitely watch the movies that i downloaded and maybe get back to my Gundam Modeling. The last piece i did was Zhang Fei, still in working progress. Besides that, have to continue my FYP during the holidays (Dang!!).

Final Fantasy 7 (FF7) is one of the best Role Playing Game (RPG) that I had played. The main reason why it's so good because of the storyline and game play. It debut on the Playstation (PS) on 1997. After 9 years, the evolution of PS growth to what it's known as the 3rd generation of PS, the PS3. The below videos are the differences between PS and PS3.

Been busy. Didn't have the time to update my blog. So, decided to blog today.

Today, went to campus for my FYP presentation and thank god that everything went alright and my supervisor back me up a lot. Thanks.

Christmas, what a day. A time to celebrate with friends and family and enjoy the last month of the year. While most of you guys are having holidays, we MMU-ians have to deal with our final examinations. But, we did take time off and enjoy the festive period. First off, went to Rock and Roll cafe with the YCKakis (Deep, Bebe, Rich, Von, Kel and muscular Eric...hahaha). The food was great and the owner of the shop looks like Santa Claus. Make fun of us and he told me not to smile and take photos in this cafe.

After the dinner, went back to my home. My "children" are coming to my place to celebrate their version of Christmas with Vodkas and Chips. At first, it was kinda bored coz it was just a few of us. Then, the YCKakis came over for a while. Then, I called up our Kim Kiat to come over to celebrate. That's where the fun starts. Vodka poker kick start our Christmas celebration and poor Kah Joon was the first to bow out the game. Gui was the second to go and the rest were sleeping. Last ones standing were Kit, Yeong and I.

We were having a great time. In the end of the day, we just sat in the living room and reminiscing the past.

Well, better start to hit the book by tomorrow as the finals are coming soon.

Well, I'm back. Been quite occupied lately and didn't have the mood to update my blog. As you can see, I had updated my new profile picture with my new specs. Besides that, the song in my blog is kinda boring and i decided to opt for James Blunt's 1973 song. I like the vibe of this song and it makes me very relax.

Well, finals is around the corner, lots of revision need to be done. Assignments and mid term have past and now leave with FYP and Finals.

Been quite active lately, went to the gym, play squash (injured my right wrist, it is really killin' me but thankfully it has recover) and swimming last week. Besides that, showed my Uncle the new website on last Friday, went to karaoke session with lads on the same day, went to 2 pool session with 2 different group of friends and watch the clash of the titans (Liverpool 0 - 1 Man Utd was the final score, was very pleased with the match). Done all this from Friday to Sunday.

In fact, it has been a busy weekend and i enjoy myself. Get to meet with friends and have a great time.

Today, went to meet up with a few friends (Jane, NYP and Stephanie) and we went to watch the Golden Compass and it was a nice CGI movie. Love the polar bear fighting scene. It was quite awkward when i was the only guy......haha.......

Well, better start revision soon and all the best to all MMU-ians in the upcoming finals.

Rainy Wednesday

Just came back from a Yam Cha session with Chien Liang, Jey Sern, KKK and Siew at Suhbaidah MITC. Talked a lot and there were some lame jokes thrown to us from Jey Sern.

Last Saturday was ACM's B'day and I got drunk, again..... Luckily this time, i didn't make a mess compare to last outing with the lads...... Need to control my alcohol intake and not to mention that the liquor tasted badly. The liquor should be smooth but I didn't like it..... Lesson learned, don't mix liquor and red wine..... haha.....

Well, today woke up at 6.30am. Went to did my passport with my brother and i came across something interesting and I will post the picture soon.

Gloomy Tuesday

Well, it been a while since i last post something on this blog.

4th week of the trimester and here are the list of things that i had done:-

I do wish that the trimester break come soon. Chien Liang is back from Perth and he did come over my place. He gave me a Transformer movie DVD and I'm very happy. Been a Transformer fan since a small kid. Will watch the DVD soon and the other DVD he borrowed me is Final Fantasy Advent Children.

Mum is back from Europe and she bought me a footie magazine. Will stop for now, wanna read my magazine and later will be going out to settle some matter.

Monday blues

Got myself off from bed at around 7.30am. Today was the 1st day of 2nd trimester. During my internship, i did go back to the campus 3 times and this felt as if i didn't go back to the campus for decades.

Had some light breakfast and it was off to the campus. First lesson of the day, High speed networks. The lecturer was the lecturer who was my panel judges during my industrial training presentation. We are all 3rd year student and the class is in a smaller group. All of us are majoring in networking. First class was exciting as we are learning a more in dept on networking.

It was great to meet up with my friends and we did talk a lot on lunch.

Then, I was loafing around in the library in search of some computer networking books.

Had class from 4 - 7.

Reached home at 7.30. Shower and had dinner.

Another day has passed. Tired and will rest early.

Saturday, crunch time for Man Utd!!

Watch NBA this morning. Boston Celtics are indeed a team to be reckon with this coming NBA season with the signing of Kevin Garnet (KG) from Minnesota Timberwolf and Ray Allen from Seattle Supersonics. I now officially support the Celtics. Formally, I was LA Lakers supporters and Lakers had been in a slump this couple of season after the departure of Shaq to Miami Heats. Besides Shaq's departure, Gary Payton and Karl Malone parted with Lakers. That only left Kobe Bryant as Lakers only star players. As for the Boston Celtics, Paul Pierce, Ray Allan and KG are now the new "Big 3" for the Boston and they won their opener game against Gilbert Arenas Washington Wizards this morning. The combo of this 3 players are breathtaking and I love this game!!

My upcoming Gundam project will be the new Romance of the three kingdom SD Gundam series. Will start the project if I got the free time.

Later, the Red Devils will take on the mighty Arsenal at the Emirates. I skipped a family dinner just to watch this match and it is really a big match for this 2 teams. The clash of the 1st and 2nd. As a die hard Man Utd supporter, I will be waving the color of Man Utd high and proud!! I do hope that it will be a goal fest in this match as both team are the most offensive teams in the BPL.

My prediction of the game, Ars 2 - 3 Man Utd. In the end of the day, the football does all the talking and not the results.

Gundam Model

This model's name is Bandai Gundam HGUC High Grade 1/144 Gundam TR-1 Hazel-II. The picture shown here is the main Gundam and I haven't taken picture of the model with the tail section

It took me a month to finish this bad boy and i'm very pleased with the tail section of the model, will post the picture later.

No feeling well since that "unforgettable 25th of October". Will need to recover 100% and kick start the new trimester. Lots of exciting stuff to come in the future.

Pending status

Results are out yesterday. The funny thing is that my result status is still pending. I then sms to all my course mates and ask them whether they get the same thing as me. It turned out that everyone that took the same course as I was in pending status. A friend of mine then told me that some of them had yet to do their presentation.

Why the system is not systematic at all? Presentation should be done before the trimester break so that everyone can have a pleasant holiday rather than thinking of the presentation during the break. I was lucky to do my presentation before the break.

Well, need to wait and see how it goes later.

Recently, been busy with my Gundam model and yesterday i just finish assemble the model. Will post some picture soon. Besides that, went swimming with dad this few days. Met up with a pilot lecturer who will be renting the Tiara apartment. He sure loves his beer a lot because he kept on telling us that he is a drinker. His belly is like a huge drum filled with lots if beer.
